Watercolor Wellness : Where Creativity Meets Cognitive Health

Watercolor Wellness is a collaboration between a Watercolor Artist, Amy Woods and a Registered Dietitian, Christina LaFleur RDN, LD

Engaging in the arts can have a significant positive impact on your health and well-being, just like nutrition and exercise.

The focus is on the process and the meditative experience of painting and not the final image but…

You will be guided through practice exercises and tips for finding success with the medium.

Cost for the package deal is $200. Single classes $60.

These classes are great for beginners and those who have worked with the medium before.

Amy

I paint as meditation.  To quiet my tired or hurt soul.

I paint when I’m sad and questioning EVERYTHING in my Life.

I paint as a way of recording what I see and remembering.

I paint so I can teach better.

Sure I teach technique and methods to improve your artistic abilities, but I also believe and have personal and professional experience to prove that the very act itself is life giving and life validating.

Christina

As a dedicated dietitian, I approach wellness holistically, understanding that every aspect of ourselves is interconnected. With a keen focus on brain health, I’ve invested significant time in specialized training.

My mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to preserve cognitive function and vitality throughout their lives.

Recognizing the profound impact of essential oils on brain health, I’ve seamlessly integrated them into my daily regimen, witnessing their transformative effects firsthand.

Delving into the science behind the therapeutic benefits of art, as explored in Your Brain on Art: How the Arts Transform Us, I’ve embraced painting not only as a creative outlet but also as a means of promoting relaxation and overall well-being.
